Government will send an inter-ministerial team to Madhya Pradesh for an on the spot assessment of the damage caused to crops due to cold wave and frost. The team will look into possibility of supplementary central assistance. It will also recommend whether the calamity can be considered to be of a severe nature. The team will consist of representatives from various Ministries including Agriculture, Finance, Rural Development, Food and Public Distribution, Water Resources and Women and Child Development.
