Croatia votes to choose govt tomorrow

Voters in Croatia are going to the polls to choose a government on Sunday for the second time in less than a year, with polls predicting a close race and another coalition that lacks a clear mandate to push through painful cuts and restructuring being urged by European authorities. <br/><br/>The first official results are due at around 10 p.m. (2530 IST) with exit polls to follow the end of voting at 7 p.m..<br/>Surveys suggest a four-party alliance led by the Social Democrats is set to win about 60 of 151 seats in a fragmented parliament, with the conservative Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) a few seats behind.<br/><br/>
