Croatia has issued an international arrest warrant for the former Prime Minister, Ivo Sanader, who left the country on Thursday, just before parliament lifted his immunity from prosecution. Investigators want to question Mr Sanader about allegations of corruption. Mr Sanader crossed the border into neighbouring Slovenia, but his exact whereabouts are unclear. He stepped down abruptly in the middle of his term as Prime Minister in 2009.
