Crisis in Karnataka BJP far from over, rebels summoned to Delhi

The Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa has ruled out dislodging of his Ministry despite failure of conciliatory talks with the rebels. Talking to newspersons in Bangalore, he claimed that his government is stable and will complete its term. He said that the party high command has confidence in his leadership and he is not worried.<br/><br/>But the crisis in Karnataka BJP seems to be far from over with the rebels summoned to Delhi by party high command after senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley failed to resolve the dissidence against Yeddyurappa. The dissidents including Assembly Speaker Jagdish Shettar, Revenue Minister G. Karunakar Reddy, Tourism Minister Janardana Reddy and Health Minister B. Sriramulu are expected to put up their case before the Central leaders in Delhi. Sriramulu claimed the support of 60 MLAs for their demand for change of leadership in the 117-member BJP legislature party. According to PTI Yeddyurappa is understood to have offered the Deputy Chief Minister post to Shettar to resolve the crisis but the rebels are adamant for change of leadership.
