The crisis in Karnataka BJP continued to persist. BJP General Secretary Dharmendra Pradhan heard both Yeddyurappa and Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda factions to resolve the crisis. CM Udasi, who is one of the nine Ministers who resigned, told reporters that there is trust deficit between the Ministers and the Chief Minister and their relations have strained in the last three-four months. He sought the resignation of Sadanand Gowda. Later, the Chief Minister met Pradhan with 10 Ministers and a dozen MLAs, who opposed any change in his leadership. State BJP President K.S. Eshwarappa asserted that there will be no change in leadership and expressed confidence of resolving the crisis. In another development, BJP Lok Sabha member G M Siddesh, who is a known Yeddyurappa loyalist, claimed that at least 14 MPs are ready to quit their membership if the demand for leadership change is not accepted. He said the MPs will meet in Bangalore today and take a decision on their resignation.
