An alleged bookie, Devendra Kothari has been arrested in connection with the IPL betting case. A Crime Branch official said that Kothari was picked up from Jaipur and placed under arrest after being brought in Mumbai on Thursday. Kothari was in touch with Pakistani bookies via conference calls facilitated by one of the arrested accused. He was produced before a local court which remanded him to police custody till July 31. With Kothari's arrest, the number of accused who are behind bars in IPL spot fixing case has risen to 19.
