The ICC World Cup 2015 witnessed it's first upset of this edition today, as Ireland defeated West Indies by 4 wickets. In a Pool B encounter played at Nelson, New Zealand, the Irish team easily surpassed the target of 305 runs in 45.5 overs causing first big upset in the 14-team tournament. For Ireland swift innings from Paul Stirling 92, Ed Joyce 84 and Niall O Brien 79 enabled the team to score 307. Earlier, batting first the West Indian team had few early jitters. Then Lindel Simmons 102 and Darren Sammy 89 held the innings as they manged to put a respectable total of 304 on the board.Tomorrow, in a Pool A match co-hosts New Zealand will play their second fixture against qualifiers Scotland. The match will begin at 3:30 AM Indian Time. In this World Cup, New Zealand had won their opening encounter against Sri Lanka by a margin of 98 runs. Scotland have played in two more editions of World Cup prior to this but they have yet to register a win.
