Cricket World Cup: Aaron Finch hits century; Sri Lanka needs 335 runs for victory

In the ICC Cricket World Cup, chasing a victory target of 335 runs, Sri Lanka were 148 for 1 in 23.2 overs against defending champions Australia in London a short while ago.

Put into bat, Australia made 334 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Captain Aaron Finch made a fine 153.  Steven Smith scored 73 while Glenn Maxwell contributed 46.

For Sri Lanka, Dhananjaya de Silva and Isuru Udana bagged two wickets each and Lasith Malinga one.

In another match at Cardiff, Afghanistan were 69 for two in 20 overs against South Africa when rain stopped play for the second time. South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bowl. 

India will play arch-rivals Pakistan tomorrow in their fourth match at Manchester. The match is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
