The International Cricket Council's Executive Board has reversed its earlier decision and approved a 14-team format for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia and New Zealand and a 12-team format for the ICC World Twenty20 events in 2012 in Sri Lanka and 2014 in Bangladesh. The decision was taken on the first day of the two day ICC Executive board meeting Chaired by ICC President Sharad Pawar on Tuesday in Hong Kong. The Board had previously decided in October 2010 that the ICC Cricket World Cup would comprise a 10-team event and the ICC World Twenty20 events would involve 16 teams. The World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will now be played with the 10 Full Members<br/>being joined by four Associate or Affiliate qualifiers.<br/><br/>The ICC World Twenty20 in 2012 and 2014 will now remain as 12-team events with 10 Full Members and two Associate or affiliates which has been the format for the ICC World Twenty20 events since its inception in 2007.<br/><br/>In addition to this the Executive Board has also agreed with the CEC recommendations on the Decision Review Systems for Test matches and One-Day Internationals which would set a universal standard.<br/>
