Cricket WC: Kenya wins toss ;opts to bat against Sri Lanka

In the Group-A clash of the ICC Cricket World Cup, Kenya have won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Today's match can be seen as a quest for a revenge from Sri Lanka, who faced sheer humiliation at the hands of the Kenyans in 2003. With defeats in the first two matches in this World Cup, Kenya will be eager to somehow make a place in the top four of the group while co-hosts Sri Lanka will today be eying a big margin victory to regain their cricket prowess, after a shocking defeat in the last game against Pakistan. Yesterday, both West Indies and Zimbabwe recorded emphatic victories against their rivals in their respective group matches. While West Indies thrashed the Netherlands by 215 runs, Zimbabwe crushed Canada by 175 runs.
