Cricket U-19: India beat Papua New Guinea by mammoth margin of 245 runs

India defeated Papua New Guinea by 245 runs in their final league match of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup at Sharjah yesterday. The Indian colts posted 301 for six in the alloted 50 overs, after they opted to bat first. They, then, bowled out Papua New Guinea for a paltry 56 in 28.2 overs to top Group-A.The defending champions had, earlier, booked a quarterfinal berth, after beating Pakistan and Scotland in their opening two fixtures.In the other Pool-A match yesterday, Pakistan defeated Scotland by 146 runs to make it to the quarterfinals.In the two quarterfinals on Saturday, India will take on England, and Pakistan will meet Sri Lanka. In the other two quarterfinals, scheduled for Sunday, Afghanistan will face South Africa and Australia will play the West Indies.
