Cricket Test: West Indies set target of 234 runs for India

Chasing 234 runs scored by West India, India were 37 without loss at stumps on the first day of first test match against the visitors at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. Paceman Mohammed Shami bagged the maximum of 4 wickets for 71 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin took two. Marlon Samuels top scored for the visitors with 65.Earlier, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. This is the first test of the 2-match series. The second test at Mumbai from November 14 will be Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar's last international match.
