Cricket: Rahane rescues India with ton as batting order collapses in 1st innings Vs Eng

Ajinkya Rahane came to India's rescue with a brilliant century against England as the rest of the batting order collapsed in their first innings in the second Cricket Test at Lord's. India were 290 for 9, at the end of first day's play last night. India had a shaky start as openers failed to give big scores. Ajinkya Rahane scored a brilliant century, 103, to hold the middle order with the help of Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Ishant Sharma on 12 and Mohammad Shami 14 were at the crease when stumps were drawn. For teh hosts, paceman James Anderson picked four wickets while Stuart Broad claimed two. Earlier, the hosts won the toss and sent the visitors in to bat.
