Cricket-not a ball for politicians : SC on Bihar rival associations' dispute

The Supreme Court has observed that Cricket should be kept free from politics and the game should not become a ball for politicians.The remarks were made by the bench of justices R M Lodha and A R Dave during the hearing of a petition relating to the ongoing dispute between two rival associations of cricket in Bihar for running the administration of the sport in the state.Former cricketer and BJP MP Kirti Azad, who is associated with the Association of Bihar Cricket, has sought to be madeintervenor in a matter. The Association of Bihar Cricket is a rival of BiharCricket Association led by RJD chief Lalu Prasad as its President.
