Cricket: No major changes in Indian squad for third test against England

The Indian cricket squad remains unchanged for Kolkata test except for a minor change on Wednesday next week. Announcing the team in Mumbai today, BCCI Secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a statement that the teams for the 4th test and the Twenty20 international series will be picked later. Selectors headed by Sandeep Patil refrained from making major changes to the team barring the inclusion of paceman Ashok Dinda in place of injured Umesh Yadav. Besides skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian team comprises Virendra Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ashok Dinda, R Ashwin, Murali Vijay, Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ojha.The third test will be played at the Eden Gardens which has been the venue of some of India's historic triumphs while Nagpur will stage the fourth and final test from 13th to 17th of next month. The ongoing series is level with both India and England winning a Test each.
