Cricket: Lanka thrash West Indies in first warm-up match in Colombo

The host Sri Lanka showed determination and mastery over home conditions to thrash West Indies by nine wickets in the first warm-up match in Colombo this morning. Chasing a moderate target of 133 runs, Sri Lanka reached the home quite comfortably in the 15.4 overs. For Sri Lanka, skipper Mahela Jayawardene and Tilakratne Dilshan made unbeaten 57 and 50 runs respectively. India will play their warm up matches against Sri Lanka and Pakistan on the 15th and 17th of this month. The first match of the Cup for India will be against Afghanistan on the 19th.
