Cricket: IPL player auction underway in B'lore

The auction for the Indian Premier League 2014 is underway in Bangalore. Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping 14 crore rupees. Delhi Daredevils have bought Dinesh Karthik for 12.5 crores, English batsman Kevin Pietersen for 9 crores and Murali Vijay for 5 crores. The other players who were auctioned include:
Mitchell Johnson — Kings Eleven Punjab — 6.5 crores.
Virender Sehwag — Punjab — 3.2 crores.
Cheteshwar Pujara — Punjab — 1.9 crores.
Zaheer Khan — Mumbai Indians — 2.6 crores.
Michael Hussey — Mumbai — 5 crores.
George Bailey — Delhi — 3.25 crores.
David Warner and Aaron Finch — Sunrisers Hyderabad — 5.5 crores and 4 crores.
South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis — Kolkata Knight Riders — 5.5 crores.
Robin Uthappa — Kolkata — 5 crores.
New Zealand's Brendon McCullum — Chennai Super Kings — 3.25 crores
West Indian Dwayne Smith — Chennai — 4.5 crores.
Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene and Kiwi Ross Taylor went unsold.
More than 500 players are part of this year's auction.
