The two-day auction of Indian Premier League players is underway in Bangalore. Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for 14 crore rupees.

England batsman Kevin Pietersen bought by Delhi Daredevils for 9 crore rupees. Sri Lanka veteran Mahela Jayawardene went unsold in the auction. Indian batsman Murali Vijay bought by Delhi Daredevils for 5 crore rupees.

A total of 514 players – 219 capped, 295 uncapped – are part of this year's auction.
