Cricket: India take on England in second Test at Lords today

The second cricket Test match between India and England will begin today at Lords. The James Anderson-Ravindra Jadeja row, that took place on the second day of the Trent Bridge Test, has spiced up the second Test. Our correspondent reports that India and England gear up for the second cricket Test at Lord`s where a lively wicket is expected to welcome the two teams. As if the `lifeless` wicket at Nottingham was not enough, the alleged altercation between the two players has marred the start of the five-match series. A date for hearing has not been finalised as yet which means Anderson is sure to play and the incident is bound to have a bearing when the two teams square up. The Indian team looks alright in the batting segment but Captain Dhoni is looking for the right options of bowlers specially in the spin department. The English side is struggling to replace the void created by the retirement of quality spinner Grame Swann. The English batting looking dodgy at the beginning has proven it's mettle in the middle and lower order. If one has to look at India's performance in Test matches at Meeca of Cricket, then it is a nightmare. In 82 years since they started playing Tests at Lord's, India has managed just one win and that was 28 years ago.India would be eager to win this test and start positive in this series but one have to wait for the history to be written over the next five days.
