India have qualified for the semifinals of the ACC Emerging Teams Cup tournament for the under-23 cricket teams. In Singapore today, they reached the last four stage, despite suffering a shock 28-run defeat against Afghanistan in their final group A match. Chasing a modest 185 to win, the Indian team could manage just 156 for nine.In the semi-final tomorrow, India will take on UAE. Pakistan will take on Group B winners Sri Lanka. Despite their upset win over India, Afghanistan were eliminated as India and Pakistan advanced to the knockoutstage on the virtue of their better Net Run Rate. All the three teams had finished with four points each in the group.
