Ravichandran Ashwin with 20 is giving him company at the crease.After opting to bat first yesterday, India got off to a perfect start, with Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir sharing 134 runs for the opening wicket. Virender Sehwag scored a blistering 117 to give India a strong platform in this first test of the 4-match series. For England, five wickets were bagged by Spinner Graeme Swann while S R Patel claimed one wicket.
