According to the ICC latest market research, cricket has over one billion fans globally. The research also revealed that the Indian sub-continent alone constituted more than 90 percent of the fans. 

The average age of fans was 34  in the surveyed age category between 16 and 69. The demographic breakdown was 61 percent male and 39 percent female.
