In cricket, chasing the target of 250 runs, India were 28 for 2 in 11.1 overs against South Africa in the first One Day International of three-match series at Ekana stadium in Lucknow, when report last came in.

The visitors scored 249 runs for Four wickets in stipulated 40 overs. Heinrich Klaasen scored 74 runs, while David Miller beat another half century with 75 runs. For Indian side Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets.
