Indian spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin has withdrawn from the third Test against England due to a family medical emergency. In a statement, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said that the Cricket governing body extends its heartfelt support to the champion cricketer and his family. The health and well-being of the players and their loved ones are of utmost importance.

Yesterday only, R Ashwin achieved the milestone of taking five hundred Test wickets. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur also congratulated the Indian spinner for his achievement.
