Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today stressed upon the significance of appropriate decisions in governance. <br/><br/>He said every government has discretionary powers while taking decisions about the nation and the economy as a whole, but these powers should not be used for corrupt purposes.Mr.<br/><br/>Jaitley was addressing the valedictory function of 28th Accountants General conference in New Delhi. He said the credibility of the government is always at stake, if it takes improper decisions.<br/><br/>The Minister added that the civil servants also play an important role in the decision making process.<br/> <br/>Mr Jaitley said it is very unfortunate that even after 70 years of independence as India has not become a tax compliant country.
