Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that credibility is extremely important in the functioning of banking system and the government expects much better standards of risk management system form the banks.He said that department of Financial Services has been actively working in this direction.Speaking at 108th foundation day function of Indian Bank in New Delhi, he said government is committed to connect every household with banking system through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana so that no body left out in the process of economic development in the country.Expressing concern on recent scams in Oriental Bank of commerce and Dena Bank, he said it is disturbing to see such developments in the banks and there is need to learn from this mistake.The Finance Minister also inaugurated 108 branches along with 108 ATMs and 5 Digital Branches of Indian Bank.
