Finance Minister Arun Jaitely today said that credibility is extremely important in the banking sector and the government expects a better risk management system from banks.He said that the Department of Financial Services has been actively working in this direction. Speaking at the 108th foundation day function of the Indian Bank in New Delhi, he said the government is committed to connecting every household with the banking system through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. Expressing concern on recent scams in the Oriental Bank of Commerce and Dena Bank, he said it is disturbing to see such developments in banks and there is need to learn from this mistake. The Finance Minister also inaugurated 108 branches along with 108 ATMs and 5 Digital Branches of Indian Bank.
