In Nepal, the opposition Unified CPN-Maoist has demanded amendment of the interim constitution to end the political deadlock on government formation even as the parliament prepares to conduct the 15th round of voting to elect a new Prime Minister Monday afternoon. The Maoists made the demand at a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the parliament, saying that amendment of the constitution will end the endless round of futile prime ministerial run-offs and pave way to start afresh the process of electing the new head of the government.
