CPI(M) to stay away from press conference by Opposition tomorrow: Yechury

CPIM leader Sitaram Yechury today said his party will not attend the Congress' joint opposition leaders' press conference tomorrow. Briefing media in New Delhi, Mr Yechury said there were no consultations and things were not planned properly. He, however, said there is no dispute among the opposition parties on demonetisation and its impact on people. He also said that it should not be presumed that coordination which existed in Parliament among Opposition ranks will be extended automatically outside.

Mr Yechury said Left will give call of protest depending on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's new announcements to tackle black money and corruption. Congress has invited opposition parties for a joint press conference tomorrow to launch an attack on the government over issues such as demonetisation and alleged subversion of institutions.
