The Politburo meeting of the CPI(M) has began in Kolkata on Friday morning. The Politburo-the Highest Policy Making Body of the Party is discussing the present political scenario of the country besides the proposed Land Acquisition Bill, Lokpal Bill and preparations of next Party Congress of the CPI(M). AIR Kolkata Correspondent reports that this is the first Politburo meeting in West Bengal after Party’s debacle in the Assembly Elections in the State. Revamping of the Party’s organization in the State is also likely to be figured at the meeting. The Politburo meeting will be followed by two days Central Committee meeting of the CPI(M) beginning from tomorrow. The Party General Secretary, Mr. Prakash Karat, former West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharjee and top brass of the CPI(M) are attending the meeting.
