CPI(M) Politburo leadership meets to decide tactics for upcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal, Kerala

The CPI(M) leadership in the Politburo meeting has started a review of the party's stance in the prevailing political situation and to decide its tactics for the upcoming Assembly polls in the strongholds of West Bengal and Kerala. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, senior Politburo member Sitaram Yechury said that the Politburo had prepared a draft political resolution earlier this month. The Central Committee has now started discussing it to finalise what political line the party should adopt in the current political situation. At the three-day meeting, the 87-member Central Committee will critically review the implementation of the goals set by the 2008 Coimbatore Congress of the CPI(M).
