CPI(M) not to support no-confidence motion on FDI

The CPI(M) will not support Trinamool Congress' no-confidence motion against the government over its decision of allowing FDI in multi-brand retail. Talking to the media in New Delhi today, CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat said a non-confidence will only help the government cover up all its wrong policies as it has the numbers to defeat such a motion. He said the Left leaders would talk to the Opposition parties urging them not to move such a motion but go in for some other steps to corrner the government on a whole range of issues.
