CPIM: Govt should initiate consultations for probable candidate for Presidential polls

The CPIM today said, the government should initiate the process of consultations to arrive at a consensus on the probable candidate for Presidential elections in July. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Senior party leader, Mr Sitaram Yechury expressed apprehension that by delaying the discussions, the ruling party is giving room for speculation, which is not a healthy sign.
Another Party leader Basudev Acharia said that the CPIM will raise some crucial issues like price rise, unemployment and Centre-States relations in Parliament. He said, these are the issues which need thorough discussions in Parliament.
