The CPIM charged the government for voting against Iran at IAEA under American pressure. Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Tuesday, party leader Mr. Sitaram Yechury alleged that apprehensions about reprocessing technology transfer is believed to be the main reason behind India's succumbing under pressure.<br/>Talking about the upcoming Copenhagen Climate summit, Mr. Yechury said that India should not accept any pressure from the developed countries for binding emission cuts. Welcoming government's statement of voluntarily deciding on carbon cuts, Mr Yechury said that India 98 per cent of people affected by climate change are in the developing world. He however added that energy equality in the country is important for equitable growth.<br/>Commenting on the 7.9 per cent GDP growth in the country in the second quarter, he said that maintain this rate will be difficult in the wake of a failed monsoon.<br/>
