The Communist Party of India today urged the government to expedite the process of sanctioning the pensions to Telangana Freedom fighters. In a letter written to the Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram, the Deputy General Secretary of the Party S. Sudhakar Reddy said that UPA government had taken a political decision to sanction the pension to the Telangana freedom fighters and the decision is yet to be implemented. He said that the process of sanctioning the pension is slow and it needs to be expedited.
