The CPI(M) today opposed the policy notification on FDI in retail trade issued by the government. In a Polit Bureau statement issued in New Delhi, the party said that the FDI in retail trade is in the interest of Multinational companies and it will hit the livelihood of the largest number of people engaged in retail trade in the country. The party said it will continue the struggle to get this anti-national decision rescinded.
