The CPI (M) has condemned the arrest of two girls for their facebook remarks. Terming it as arbitrary, the party demanded action against the police officials responsible for the arrest. In a statement, the CPI(M) also demanded an immediate withdrawal of the police cases against the two girls. The party said it is a clear case of misuse of the IT Act and underlined the need for a thorough review of some of its provisions that are open to gross misuse.
