CPI (M) has urged the government to investigate and act upon the Bofors case without any let-up. In a press release issued on Tuesday, the party has alleged that the report of Income Tax Tribunal on the Bofors case makes it evident that there is no check against corruption in high places within the government. It also alleged that the guilty in Bofors case have been allowed to go unpunished.Meanwhile, BJP on Tuesday demanded an investigation by a Special Investigative Team into the controversial Bofors case. Briefing the media in New Delhi, party spokesman, Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad charged the government of helping Ottavia Quattrocchi at different stages.
