CPI demands special investigation into Bofors case

Communist Party of India, CPI today demanded a special investigation into the Bofors case. In a press release, the party has demanded the case to be pursued again after the Income Tax Apellate Tribunal said last week that kickbacks were received in the deal. CPI accused the Congress leadership of allowing the guilty to go Scot free.While, Bharatiya Janata Party has criticized the CBI's decision to close the Bofors case. Talking to the reporters in New Delhi today the party spokesperson Shah Nawaz Hussain alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation is deliberately keeping under wraps the names of the top Congress leaders allegedly involved in the case .
