CPI demands cancellation of licences of coal blocks

The CPI today demanded cancellation of licences of coal blocks in the wake of the CAG report on the issue . Talking to reporters outside Parliament, senior party leader D.Raja said that accountability must be fixed in this regard. He also alleged that the Prime Minister's statement on coal block is only to cover up the issue. On the issue of logjam in Parliament, he said that it is the primary responsibility of the government to run Parliament and equally the main opposition party BJP is also responsible.

On the other hand, Rewati Raman Singh of Samajwadi Party expressed concern over the current stalemate in Parliament and termed it unfortunate. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he said that the Parliament is a forum of discussion.
