CP Joshi elected new Raj Cricket Association President

Union Minister, Mr. C.P. Joshi has been elected as Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) President. He defeated IPL Chirman Lalit Modi by six votes in the election held in Jaipur on Monday.Mr Joshi got 19 votes, while Modi bagged 13.Earlier, the elections took a violent turn, when supporters from the two rival camps got into a brawl.The Police immediately drove out all the supporters from the RCS premises in the Sawi Mansingh stadium. Former Rajasthan Cricket Association President Sanjay Dixit beat Rajendra Singh Rathore 19-14 to become the RCA secretary.Monday's election was held as per the direction of the Supreme Court.
