Cow smuggling has come down: Rajnath Singh

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said, cow and cattle smuggling has considerably come down in the Indo-Bangla boder due to the prompt action and efforts are on to bring it down further.<br/><br/>Mr Singh was speaking at a function in New Delhi organized to pay tribute to spiritual leaders and people who were killed during a protest against cow slaughter in 1966. <br/><br/>He said, the Home Ministry has written to various states asking them to clamp down on cattle smuggling. He said, the BSF has been asked to be more alert regarding cattle smuggling.<br/><br/>The Minister said, many states like Haryana, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Jharkhand have completely banned cow slaughter.
