<span style="color: #222222;">On the directions of LG, GC Murmu to further augment health infrastructure in terms of manpower and material resources in the UT of J&K for fighting against coronavirus pandemic. J&K government yesterday handed over a 500 bedded COVID Care Centre with all required facilities to Health Department at Yatri Niwas, Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. It will be the first administrative quarantine centre which has been upgraded to a Covid Care Centre in order to stem the contraction of corona virus.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that adequate arrangements have been made in this centre so that all the facilities like mess, water coolers, TV etc are available for the cases that have been clinically assigned mild or very mild or COVID suspect cases. This centre is a step towards mitigating the load on other hospitals in Jammu district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Doctors of primary health centre already functioning there are available round the clock to face any eventuality and additional staff including doctors and paramedical staff has been deployed from the Directorate Health Services. Ambulances service is available at the Centre for moving any patient to a tertiary care facility in case of an emergency.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Further adequate arrangement for sanitization and fogging is being done at regular intervals and proper security arrangements are in place. The government also said that there are adequate supplies of masks, sanitizers, PPE and other equipments at the quarantine centre. It also said that a sanitization tunnel has been placed at the centre. Nodal Officer of this Centre  Sudhir Bali said, we are also aiming to develop a Covid Care Centres with 2000 beds in Jammu to lower the burden on the tertiary care hospitals.</span><br />
