<span style="color: black;">The COVID 19 vaccination in Bangladesh has crossed the figure of 28.50 lakh as on Thursday. According to the latest figures released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), more than 1.81 lakh people got vaccinated in the last 24 hours taking the total number of people vaccinated to 28,50,940 people including 18.56 lakh men 9.94 lakh women across Bangladesh.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Government of Bangladesh is providing free vaccination to the people of Bangladesh. Currently people above the age of 40 are being administered the vaccine dose.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The vaccination drive is being conducted at 1005 hospitals and health centres across the country including 50 in Dhaka.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The DGHS informed that more than 40.37 lakh people have already registered for taking the vaccine all over the country.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reminded people to continue with the health safety measures despite being vaccinated. Addressing the cadets of the Bangladesh Marine Academy through videoconferencing on Thursday Prime Minister Hasina urged people to continue using face masks, observe hand washing and other preventive measures against Covid 19 infection.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Meanwhile, the death rate and infection rate for Coronavirus in Bangladesh showed a downward trend with recovery rate reported at 90.79 percent. Over the last 24 hours since Wednesday, the infection rate per 100 samples collected for testing was also at a low level of 2.63 percent. On Thursday, the country reported 5 deaths taking the death toll due to Coronavirus to 8384.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The nationwide vaccination programme was launched on February 7 in Bangladesh. Till now it has received 9 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine produced by the Serum Institute of India (SII) including 2 million doses gifted by India to Bangladesh.&nbsp;</span><br />'' &nbsp;
