Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan today visited Safdarjung Hospital in the National Capital and reviewed steps taken to bolster preparedness for managing COVID19 cases. He also took stock of the development and construction of an additional block in the hospital premises for enhancing the patient care capacity at the Hospital. Dr. Harsh Vardhan inspected the Oxygen plant installed in the Hospital premises which has been recently made operational with the aid received from the PMCARES fund. He informed that another oxygen plant of 2 Metric tonnes production capacity is also being developed at Safdarjung hospital, which will become operational in next one month.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Union Health Minister said that the centre is taking every possible step to ensure proper care of COVID patients. He said, the country has considerably scaled up COVID testing with over 20 lakh tests done in the last 24 hours. He asserted, the country will soon further scale it up at 25 lakh tests per day. On this occasion, the Health Minister also expressed deep grief over the demise of doctors, front line workers and journalists due to the pandemic.</span><br />
