Covid-19 vaccination to be carried out in two phases daily in Odisha

<span style="color: #222222;">Odisha government has re-scheduled the timings of covid-19 vaccination across all the session sites. According to an order of the State Health Department, due to the prevailing heatwave conditions in the state vaccination will be carried out in two phases daily, that is between 8 in the morning to 12 noon and again between 3 in the afternoon to 6  in the evening.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, With mercury moving upwards, the state government has decided to effect an interval of 3 hours between 12 noon to three in the afternoon in all the vaccination sites.<br />'' <br />'' As for vaccination, the state-administered more than 2 lakh 63 thousand vaccine doses in 1472 session sites across the state yesterday. While more than 1 lakh 70 thousand people above 45 years of age took their jabs, more than 75 thousand senior citizens also received their vaccine shots yesterday.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the state reported 573 new cases during the last 24 hours which is the highest single-day spike this year. As a corollary, the covid-19 active caseload of the state has further mounted to 3358, as on date.</span>
