COVID-19 test positivity decreases to 4.8 per cent in Odisha

<span style="color: #222222;">In Odisha, COVID-19 test positivity has further decreased to 4.8 per cent. The state has already conducted more than 6.8 million sample tests resulting in a cumulative COVID-19 caseload of 3,28,738. Out of these, 3,24,068 patients have already recovered, leaving behind only 2,753 active cases as of now. AIR correspondent reports COVID-19 continues its downward slide across the state with the districts reporting far fewer number of cases than they did about a month back.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the last 24 hours, while six districts out of the total 30 did not report a single positive case, as many as 14 districts reported new cases only in single digit. The day's highest in any district in the state was 36 in Angul.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has put a ban on zero-night celebrations in hotels, clubs and any such place in the capital city on account of the New Year.
