<span style="color: #222222;">The Tamilnadu state government has introduced a scheme of distributing essential food kits to frontline workers in the toil against Covid 19. Under the scheme, kits that include rice, cereals, condiments, spices etc are being distributed among sanitary workers, electricity board workers etc.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The scheme was formally inaugurated in Namakkal, near Trichy, by Tamilnadu state ministers Shri P Thankamani and Smt V Saroja. As a first phase 290 kits were  distributed to sanitary workers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ministers pointed out that welfare measures like these are being conducted to aporeciate the hard work done by front line workers and to keep up their morale. Since Namakkal is one of the more prominent centres of poultry farming in South India,  it is notable that eggs have also been included in the kits.</span><br />
