<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka COVID-19 surge continues with 6150 new COVID positive cases and 39 related deaths reported today. Today 3487 persons were discharged after recovery. The positivity rate has risen to 6.02 per cent today and the fatality rate stands at 0.63 per cent. Bengaluru urban district recorded the highest case load of 4266 positive cases and 26 deaths today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Karnataka Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. K Sudhakar has informed that Karnataka is in the sixth position in the country with over 48 lakh people receiving the COVID vaccine till now. Over 22.5 lakh receiving the vaccine are above the age of 60 years and 10.4 lakh people are between the age group of 45-59. Saying that the mortality rate is on the rise, the minister informed that the Technical Advisory Committee is asked to conduct a death audit. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that the second wave is spreading faster than the first wave. On the availability of the beds for COVID patients, he said, 33,697 beds are reserved for COVID patients in the government hospitals. Out of these, 10,083 are oxygenated beds. The Private hospitals are asked to reserve 20 per cent of the beds for the COVID patients.</span><br />
