The Covid 19 situation has improved in Ladakh. The rate of Coronavirus infection has remained in decline since the last week of December. The detection of positive cases during the past fortnight has been slightest in number. <br />''<br />''Only 11 new cases were reported during the last twenty four hours which is one of the lowest in the Union Territory. AIR correspondent reports, the Covid situation in Ladakh during the past fortnight has shown much improvement as the rate of new infection drastically came down. <br />''<br />''At the movement, there are only 215 positive cases in UT and the recovery rate has also improved to 96 percent. Only 18 Covid positive cases are admitted in Covid dedicated hospitals and the rest of the patients are placed either in home isolation or in Covid Care Centre.<br />'' <br />''So far out of 9600 confirmed cases 9258 have recovered from the infection in Ladakh. 127 have died in the pandemic. Although overall Covid Situation is improving in the UT, but Kargil district has performed better in controlling the situation as its present active cases are just eight in numbers. The recovery rate of the district is also better than Leh district as it has registered 98 percent. While in Leh district, the active cases stand at 207 and the recovery rate is 96 percent.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">As part of the prevention measures, the UT administration is continuously screening Leh inbound passengers from flights at Khushok Bakula Rinpochey Airport Leh besides screening at inter district check posts.</span><br />
